Oneonta Auxiliary Services (OAS) is a not-for-profit corporation serving the SUNY Oneonta campus. OAS is seeking a highly qualified, motivated, and experienced Maintenance Assistant. This position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of substantial commercial kitchen equipment and systems. This position requires a proven track record of working on mechanical, electrical and plumbing processes. The capacity to read schematic diagrams and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner is essential.
General Description:
The Controller is a full-time professional position critical to the successful operation of Oneonta Auxiliary Services. The Controller is responsible for day-to-day conduct of OAS business functions via coordination and maintenance of an accounting system that accurately reflects the financial position of the Company. This position oversees general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, property control, fiscal agent accounting, human resources, the ID/Dining card office and the Red Dragon Outfitters including supervision, training and mentoring of staff members. The Controller assists the Executive Director and the OAS Management Team in development and planning within its mission. This position is responsible for maintaining effective coordination and communication with other OAS departments as well as other campus personnel, vendors, contractors, financial institutions, and business contacts.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial statements, fixed assets and depreciation, investments, fiscal agency accounting, reconciliations, agency and program accounts.
- Manage payroll and personnel policies, procedures, and mandatory government reporting requirements.
- Develop annual budget, working with the board of directors, vendors, and contractors to provide data and analysis for establishing key variables used in building the overall budget.
- Coordinate annual audit, reconciling all financial accounts, preparing supporting schedules and analysis, ensuring accounting records and reports are in compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
- Oversee ID/Dining Card office and Red Dragon Outfitters operations for proper tracking, reporting and reconciliation of patron accounts, dining, dragon and merchandise sales, as well as inventories to general ledger.
- Provide fiscal agent services to the student association, overseeing accounts payable, receivable and bank reconciliations ensuring compliance with SUNY policies and student association internal controls.
- Manage internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Process Workers’ Compensation, NYS Disability and Paid Family Leave claims and reports.
- Serve on OAS Board of Director’s, Personnel and Finance Committees.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, team building and training
- 5+ years of expertise in managing day-to-day accounting operations
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Understanding of financial regulations, compliance and audit coordination
- Knowledge of cash handling, internal controls and risk management
- Familiarity with inventory management and loss control
- Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or certification in related field
- Auxiliary/Campus services experience
- Experience in selecting software and coordinating upgrades and installations
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range is $120,000 – $130,000

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
BASC seeks an Executive Chef to lead the culinary development of its Dining Services program. The Executive Chef is a Dining leadership role responsible for overseeing all culinary operations within the university dining services. Reporting directly to the Dining Services Director, this position works collaboratively with operations and chef managers and the production team to foster strong inter-departmental relations, create innovative and diverse menus, maintain culinary excellence, provide options that meet the needs of the campus community and uphold food safety and sustainability standards. The Executive Chef serves as both a leader and hands- on practitioner, providing culinary training, supporting catering operations, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, hotel and restaurant management or related field required or an equivalent certification by a
recognized culinary institution, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in culinary leadership role, preferable within a campus dining or high-volume food service environment. Minimum
five years executive level management experience in culinary operations. - Experience with development of culinary programs for multi-unit operations that reflect:
- culinary depth and breadth in concept, recipe and facility development
- menu management, equipment specification
- food and labor cost controls
- plating and presentation
- Strong administrative and service management skills required.
- Extensive experience in high volume and superior quality operations required.
- Executive Chef Certification from an accredited organization, preferred
- ServSafe certification.
- Certification of Allergen Awareness, preferred.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates an ability to do the job will be considered.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
$85,000 – $100,000

The Dining Service Director will have the distinct opportunity to lead the dining department through the implementation of its strategic plan which includes facility renovations and meal plan design changes. This position works as part of the BASC Leadership Team and provides comprehensive leadership for all aspects of a self-operated food service campus dining program directly impacting the student experience and campus community. This position will ensure high-quality dining experiences that support the health, well-being, and satisfaction of
students, faculty, staff, and campus guests. This leadership role is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, staff management, vendor relations, compliance with health and safety standards, culinary innovation and the implementation of sustainable and inclusive dining initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Extensive experience in high volume and superior quality dining operations required.
